The reception for approximately 70 guests was held in the Foresters Hall. The day was wet - it poured all day. Mother of Selwyn came from Nelson for the wedding but father did not come. Grooms brother and sister also did not attend. Bride wore a frock of radium lace over satin - cream flowers. Bridesmaid: Miss May Carter (friend of Bride from school days and later married Wilfred Helleur) wore mid yellow frock and black hat - coloured flowers.
