• Notes

  In September 1864 there was a "Provisional Intent to Marry" notice published. It was between Fanny Moore aged 19 in Nelson 12 months to Charles McIntyre aged 24. It was a provisional notice as Fanny was under age and her father had not provided his signature. Another notice appeared in 1868 between Fanny aged 21(or over 21?) in Nelson 5 years to David Gilchrist Laing aged 25, baker. This marriage did take place.
