NZ Papers Past - Manawatu Herald, Volume XLI, Issue 1932, 28 January 1919
Mr and Mrs James Gifkins, who were married at the Lewknor Parish Church, Oxford, in 1868(sic), celebrated their golden anniversary at Sanson last week.
They came out to New Zealand the following year, landing on September 7th, 1879(sic) and for many years have resided in the district.
They have six sons and two daughters (Mrs Whattie(sic) of Hastings and Mrs W. Leat, of Sanson).
